TREES FOR LIFE - NEW PREMISES OPENING MARCH 2007
Project Background
The Trustees of the CMV Foundation are delighted to announce that they have made the largest donation in the Foundation’s history to a single cause. Recognising that the entire world desperately needs to do a better job looking after our natural environment, they targeted an environmental organisation, Trees For Life, as the
recipient.
The Trees For Life organisation was founded 25 years ago in South Australia, and today boasts a membership of nearly 10,000 members and has been responsible for planting in excess of 28 million trees. Trees For Life, was facing an uncertain future as they were about to lose their office accommodation area and propagating facilities. The Trustees began discussions with their Management to explore how they could help them find a new home of their own to ensure their long term survival and growth to the benefit of the entire community. The next chapter in the Trees For Life story was a very happy one, when on the 30th June 2006 they took possession of their new home. The Foundation’s contribution towards the outright purchase of this very suitable property, was the catalyst to make it happen.

Official Opening 2007
